Changing user preferences

aPriori User Preferences control various aspects of startup and costing behavior for both aPriori Desktop and the Cost Ticker. You can edit user preferences only in aPriori Desktop.

You can set the following preferences by selecting from the Tools > User Preferences menu:

• Start aPriori with CAD application

• One Click Costing™ (enabling/disabling auto-costing in response to CAD changes)

• Default Production Inputs

• Cache New Digital Factories on Start-up

• Default Scenario Name

• Viewer

• Use Official Scenarios in New Assemblies

You can also select View > Show English Units from the aPriori menu to display units in English units instead of system (metric) units.

Once you have specified a user preference, it is “remembered” and subsequently takes effect each time you run aPriori. You may change user preference settings at any time.

NOTE: You can select a supported alternative language, such as German or Japanese, for either the aPriori Professional:

• Interface display

• Documentation set that appears in a browser, when from a menu bar, you select Help > Help Contents.

However, you cannot do so by changing your aPriori Professional user preferences. Instead, you must reconfigure your Windows settings or your aPriori Professional properties.
