One Click Costing™
One Click Costing is activated by the user, whereas auto-costing automatically re-costs a component in response to a CAD change, such as adding or modifying a CAD feature, regenerating a component, or activating a window/component.
One Click Costing requires that you click the Cost button to start a costing operation. If you make frequent design and cost estimate iterations and do not wish aPriori to automatically cost every time the CAD model changes, ensure that the One Click Costing™ is enabled.
-
To enable One Click Costing, click Tools > User Preferences > One Click Costing™. By default, this preference is enabled
-
To enable Default Production Inputs, click Tools > User Preferences > Default Production Inputs…
-
You can specify default Process Group, Digital Factory, Material, Annual Volume, Production Life, and Batch Size fields.
-
After you configure your personalized default values, the Cost Object Window and Cost Guide are pre-populated using the specified defaults when a new component is costed.
-
This preference enables you to set defaults that are relevant to the types of parts or projects you are working on.
-
User-level production input preferences take precedence over any site-wide defaults; if no user-level production inputs are specified, then the site-wide defaults are applied.
-
For more information on Production Inputs see Initial costing: the Cost Guide and Using the Cost Object Info window
