Fay Sealing Operation-level Options

The Fay Sealing operation provides the following setup options:

Sealant Type

This specifies the type of sealant to use on the current ContactRegion. The default is specified by the Default Tool Material Name field in the Fay Sealing tool shop or by the setup option Sealant Type Process.

This type is used to determine default sealant unit cost, which drives Expendable Tooling for Fay Sealing. Users can override this unit cost with the setup option Sealant Material Price. This setup option is ignored if the user has set the setup option Total Area Being Sealed.

Sealant Material Price

This specifies unit price for the sealant used on the current ContactRegion. By default, this is the unit price for the Sealant Type in the Tool Materials table of the Fay Sealing tool shop or it is specified by the setup option Sealant Material Price Process.

The value drives Expendable Tooling for Fay Sealing. This setup option is ignored if the user has set the setup option Total Area Being Sealed.

Sealed Area

By default, the cost model assumes that sealant is applied to 100% of the ContactRegion's surface area. Administrators can customize the default percentage with the cost model variable defaultPercentBonded. Users can override the default for the current ContactRegion with this setup option.

The value drives Expendable Tooling for Fay Sealing. This setup option is ignored if the user has set the setup option Total Area Being Sealed.
