Profile 3 Roll Bend Options

The process Profile 3 Roll Bend provides the following option:

The operation Profile 3 Roll Bending provides the following options:

Roller Material

By default, for custom extrusions (see Extrusion GCDs), roller material is specified by the tool shop variable Default Tool Material Name. You can override the default with this process-level setup option. The material choices are populated from the Tool Materials table for the Roller tool shop.

Roller material drives tooling cost when tooling is necessary; see Tooling Cost for Profile 3 Roll Bending.

Rolling Speed

By default, rolling speed is calculated based on machine and material properties (see Cycle Time for Profile 3 Roll Bending). You can override the default with this operation-level setup option. Enter a value less than or equal to the machine property Rolling Speed.

Rolling speed drives cycle time-- see Cycle Time for Profile 3 Roll Bending.

Number of Passes

By default, the number of passes required to generate a given bend is calculated based on bend radius as well as material and machine properties (see Cycle Time for Profile 3 Roll Bending). With this operation-level setup option, you can override the default and specify the number of passes explicitly.

Number of passes drives cycle time; see Cycle Time for Profile 3 Roll Bending.

Part Handling Time for Bend

By default, the per-bend part handling time is twice the Load Time specified for the part weight in the lookup table tblMaterialHandling. With this operation-level setup option, you can override the default and specify the handling time for a specific bend.

Handling time drives cycle time; see Cycle Time for Profile 3 Roll Bending.

Prebend Time

By default, the per-bend prebend time is specified by the machine property Prebend Time. With this operation-level setup option, you can override the default and specify the prebend time for a specific bend.

Prebend time drives cycle time; see Cycle Time for Profile 3 Roll Bending.
