Mark Up Cost
Mark Up is the cost of mark up of tooling. The formula is as follows:
Mark Up = Margin Rate / 100 * (Design Cost + Design Cutter Paths Cost + Material and Labor Cost * Number of Tools Required + SGandA)
The Mark Up Cost is a function of the following:
-
Margin Rate: the percent margin applied to the tooling cost. Specified by the setup option Margin Rate.
-
Design Cost: the cost of mold, surfaces, and electrodes design. See Design Cost.
-
Design Cutter Paths Cost: the CNC programming cost for cutter path design. See Design Cutter Paths Cost.
-
Material and Labor Cost: the cost of material and labor costs for the tool. See Material and Labor - Total Tool Material Cost and Material and Labor - Total Tool Labor Cost.
-
Number of Tools Required: the number of mold tools required based off the production volume and tool life. Specified by the setup option Number of Tools.
-
S G and A: the is the Selling, General and Administrative cost. See SGandA Cost.
