A Geometric Cost Driver (GCD) is a geometric feature of a part, such as a surface, hole, or bend. When aPriori analyzes a part, it assigns to each GCD the operations required to create it.
aPriori identifies GCDs through geometric analysis of the CAD model. For some process groups, you can use aPriori to specify additional GCDs (for example, welds for assemblies and gears for machined parts).
