Platform and CAD Support Updates
aPriori Professional 2022 R1 provides certified support for newer versions of the Oracle database. aPriori 2022 R1 also provides certified support for recent versions of various CAD formats and provides compatible Cost in aPriori plug-ins to integrate the CAD system with both aPriori Professional (on-premise) and aPriori Cost Insight Design (cloud), with one exception. Some older CAD versions and older database versions no longer are certified or supported.
Please consult the aPriori On-Premise System Requirements version 2022 R1 document for a complete and up-to-date listing of all versions of supported CAD systems, Operating Systems, Database platforms, and Graphics Cards and Drivers. Please make aPriori aware if your company is planning to upgrade to a CAD, databased, or operating system version which is not listed in the System Requirements document.
NX™ 1980 Series Support
The NX™ 1980 series is certified for use with aPriori 2022 R1.
The following usage modes are supported:
-
aPriori Professional (on-premise) can estimate the manufacturability and cost of NX™ 1980 series CAD models opened directly from the file system or via a Cost-in-aPriori integration with NX™ (which must be delivered as a services engagement).
-
Cost Insight Design (cloud) can estimate the manufacturability and cost of NX™ 1980 series CAD models uploaded to the cloud or via a Cost-in-aPriori integration with NX™ (which must be delivered as a services engagement).
NX™ 2007 Series Support
The NX™ 2007 series is certified for use with aPriori 2022 R1 via directly opening or uploading the CAD model. A Cost-in-aPriori integration is not yet available for this NX™ series.
The following usage modes are supported:
- aPriori Professional (on-premise) can estimate the manufacturability and cost of NX™ 2007 series CAD models opened directly from the file system.
- Cost Insight Design (cloud) can estimate the manufacturability and cost of NX™ 2007 series CAD models uploaded to the cloud.
A Cost-in-aPriori plug-in /integration service is not yet available for this NX™ series, but will be made available shortly after the initial release of aPriori 2022 R1.

Cost Insight Design (cloud) can estimate the manufacturability and cost of Inventor 2021 or Inventor 2022 CAD models uploaded directly from the file system to the cloud or via a Cost-in-aPriori plug-in.
De-Support of Creo 2
Official support for Creo 2 has been discontinued, effective as of aPriori Professional 2022 R1.
In particular, Creo 2 cannot be used in Direct Integration mode with on-premise installations of aPriori Professional 2022 R1.
Creo 2 has reached the Support End Date published by PTC and the APIs used by aPriori to integrate with Creo no longer are supported by PTC.
As a result, Creo 2 cannot be used in Direct Integration mode with on-premise installations of aPriori Professional 2022 R1.
It is expected that aPriori will continue to be able to open CAD files saved in Creo 2 (for example, via the File > Open CAD File option in aPriori Professional or by uploading them directly to aPriori Cloud Home and the cloud applications). However aPriori no longer regularly tests these versions and reserves the right to not investigate or address issues which are apparent only in Creo 2.
Note: PTC has published that all Creo versions prior to Creo 7 already have reached their Support End Date, with no option for Extended Support. At this time, aPriori continues to provide support for Creo 3 and higher versions including offering a Direct Integration mode. However, aPriori will reduce the testing performed and phase out support for these older versions in future releases
De-support of SOLIDWORKS™ 2016
Official support for SOLIDWORKS™ 2016 has been discontinued, effective as of aPriori Professional 2022 R1.
aPriori officially certifies SOLIDWORKS™ 2017 and higher versions for use with aPriori 2022 R1. It is expected that aPriori will continue to be able to work with CAD files saved in SOLIDWORKS™ 2016 and older versions but will no longer regularly test these versions. aPriori reserves the right to not investigate or address issues which are apparent only in SOLIDWORKS™ 2016 and older versions.
Support for Oracle 18c and 19c and Planned De-Support for Oracle 12c
aPriori Professional 2022 R1 (on-premise) is certified for use with recent versions of Oracle databases and has entered a de-support process for Oracle 12c.
- aPriori Professional 2022 R1 (on-premise) is certified for use with Oracle 18c and 19c database versions. However, because Oracle 18c already is in Sustaining Support with Oracle, it will not be supported in subsequent releases of aPriori, including any service packs to aPriori 2022 R1.
-
Note that Oracle 11g and Oracle 12c both have reached End of Life with Oracle. As such, aPriori 2022 R1 will be the last release of aPriori to support Oracle 11g and 12c; they will not be supported in subsequent releases of aPriori, including any service packs to aPriori 2022 R1. For aPriori 2022 R1, aPriori will investigate issues reported against Oracle 11g and Oracle 12c but will not address issues that no longer are present when running aPriori with Oracle 18c or 19c.
-
aPriori encourages customers to upgrade to Oracle 19c for use with aPriori.
De-Support of MySQL 5.6
aPriori no longer tests and certifies against version 5.6 of MySQL, as this version has reached End of Life.
While aPriori is expected to continue to operate with MySQL 5.6, aPriori is not obligated to investigate or fix issues that occur on that version of MySQL. Please refer to the aPriori On-Premise System Requirements version 2022 R1 document for supported versions of MySQL.
