Assembly Enhancements

aPriori 2026 R1 SP1 includes the following enhancements:

Feedback Wanted—New Approaches for Weld Estimation

aPriori invites customers to evaluate a new approach to enable automated estimation of welding times and costs. If you model weldments in Creo using Creo Weld features and would be interested in learning more, please contact your aPriori Customer Success Manager or aPriori Support. aPriori Product Management will follow up directly with more information about the evaluation process so that you can decide whether to participate.

Improved Assembly Opening Performance

aPriori 2026 R1 SP1 enables multi-processing during assembly opening, running multiple part conversions simultaneously to significantly reduce the elapsed time required to open and extract all assembly components.

This enhancement applies to assemblies from the following CAD systems: Creo, NX, and STEP. The amount of performance improvement depends on the number of processors (cores) available on the computer as well as assembly-specific characteristics such as the number of unique parts and the complexity of the parts. STEP assemblies see the greatest benefit, with up to 5X faster opening times recorded in testing on an 8-core computer.
