Add Machining to an Assembly
You can manually add common assembly milling operations to your assembly, including the operation type and other relevant geometric information such as number of setups.
Note: Working in Direct Integration mode. aP Pro can automatically detect assembly cuts, holes and other material removal features in CAD assemblies.

Open the assembly.

In the Manufacturing Process window, click Edit > Routing Selection to open the Routing Selection window:

Expand the Machining node by clicking on the [+] icon:

Select a machining type - for example, 3 Axis Mill Routing.

Expand the nodes until the Virtual Operations node appears:
Note: Machining operations for which you can set options are labeled Virtual.

For each operation, click on the hammer icon to edit Process Setup Options:

For each popup window, set the number of part setups (reorientations) required to machine the assembly, then click OK to set the new values.

Click OK on the main Routing Selection window to finish these option changes.

Click the Cost button to re-cost the assembly.

The virtual operations you have defined now appear in the Manufacturing Process window:

From here, you can expand each operation, then right-click and select Routing Selection... :
