aP Pro includes a set of default Digital Factories, showing average costs of manufacturing in various geographic regions. You can configure Digital Factories to represent your own and suppliers' manufacturing environments - see the Digital Factory Administration Guide for details.
By default, aP Pro selects Digital Factories automatically. For specific process steps you can manually select a different Digital Factory, to compare the process costs at different facilities.
View and Select a Digital Factory

To show information and change information about a Digital Factory,, click Edit > Show Digital Factory Details.

To select a different Digital Factory, click Select Digital Factory... or right-click on a process step and select Digital Factory Selection, opening the Digital Factory Selection window:

Make changes to the Digital Factory values as needed, then click OK to apply changes and, recalculate the Fully Burdened Cost.

A status indicator shows the costing status of the input:
- Green: Costing completed with the requested input.
- Yellow: Costing completed with warnings. Typically, indicates that the requested input was invalid and a different input based on selection policy was used for costing.
- Red: Costing failed.
- You can see the warnings in the Status Messages pane.
