Active and Inactive Scenarios

aP Pro can automatically monitor CAD model geometry and automatically update an associated scenario when the model changes in a way that requires the regeneration of Geometric Cost Drivers (GCDs).

To provide more control over these updates, aP Pro allows you to make a scenario Active, , or Inactive, , to control when CAD-connected components get updated with CAD changes:

  • Active: automatically updates to match CAD changes when you initiate an action that requires the regeneration of GCDs.

  • Inactive: It does not automatically updates to match CAD changes when you initiate an action that requires the regeneration of GCDs.

Setting a scenario to Inactive can improve performance during costing operations, but risks not capturing recent updates to the CAD model.
