aP Pro Cloud Functions

You can use the aP Pro Cloud application to open CAD files and work with scenarios, as with the on-premise aP Pro desktop deployment.

Note: aPriori supports aP Pro for AppStream using either a Web browser or the Amazon AppStream 2.0 Windows client.

Cloud Operational Differences

  • All aP Pro data you save (your Operational Database) is stored in the aPriori Cloud, not on a local server.

  • You cannot upload files from your local system into the Cloud application; instead, you can use tools to transfer files and information between your local system and the aP Pro application.

  • You cannot access aP Pro batch files, plug-ins, or property files in the Cloud application.

  • Log files are also not stored locally, but can still be accessed. See the Support article How to access and download Log File for aP Professional in AppStream (Cloud).

AppStream Functions

AppStream is an application streaming service provided by Amazon Web Services (see https://aws.amazon.com/appstream2/ ) that is available to customers as part of a subscription to aPriori Cloud Solution. AppStream allows you to work in a remotely-hosted instance of the aP Pro app through your web browser. The remote aP Pro app connects to an aPriori operational database that is also hosted on AWS.
