Cleaning Options

Cleaning provides the following setup options:

Cut Off Time per Part

By default, cutoff time per part is specified by one of the following cost model variables (depending on part mass):

• defaultCycleTimeSmall_cutOff (120 seconds in starting point Digital Factories): for parts with mass no greater than partMassThreshold_small (1.36kg in starting point Digital Factories).

• defaultCycleTimeMedium_cutOf (300 seconds in starting point Digital Factories): for parts with mass greater than partMassThreshold_small (1.36kg in starting point Digital Factories) and no greater than partMassThreshold_medium (6.80kg in starting point Digital Factories).

• defaultCycleTimeLarge_cutOff (600 seconds in starting point Digital Factories): for parts with mass greater than partMassThreshold_medium (6.80kg in starting point Digital Factories).

With this setup option, users can override the default on a per-part basis.

Cutoff time per part affects times and cost for Band Saw (see Band Saw Formulas), as well as for the component-level operation Abrasive Wheel Cutting of the Bench Operation process (see Abrasive Wheel Cutting Formulas).

Gate Grind Time per Part

By default, gate grind time per part is specified by one of the following cost model variables (depending on part mass):

• defaultCycleTimeSmall_gateGrind (300 seconds in starting point Digital Factories): for parts with mass no greater than partMassThreshold_small (1.36kg in starting point Digital Factories).

• defaultCycleTimeMedium_gateGrind (900 seconds in starting point Digital Factories): for parts with mass greater than partMassThreshold_small (1.36kg in starting point Digital Factories) and no greater than partMassThreshold_medium (6.80kg in starting point Digital Factories).

• defaultCycleTimeLarge_gateGrind (1800 seconds in starting point Digital Factories): for parts with mass greater than partMassThreshold_medium (6.80kg in starting point Digital Factories).

With this setup option, users can override the default of a per-part basis.
