Layer GCD
Layer GCDs are listed under Other in the Geometric Cost Drivers pane. Each Layer GCD represents one copper layer. Note that each copper layer may be part of a 1-ply or 2-ply core, or it may be a standalone copper sheet. Properties include:
• Layer number: represents the layer’s position in the stack (1 indicates the top).
• Material Thickness: weight of the copper stock sheet from which the layer is made, if available. Users can edit this property in the Geometric Cost Drivers pane, to override the value in the Gerber file or to supply a value when one is not available in the Gerber file.
If a value is supplied by neither the Gerber file nor the user, the cost model uses the value of the cost model variable defaultCopperLayerWeight (1oz in starting point Digital Factories)
Starting point Digital Factories support 0.5oz, 1oz, 1.5oz, and 2oz copper stock sheets. The corresponding thicknesses are listed in the lookup table tblCopperWeightThickness.
In addition, each Layer GCD bears the

CommonHoleGorup GCD and
Contour GCD that starts or ends on it.
