The DES node of the Process Options Editor provides the setup option Number of Panels Loaded to the DES Conveyor Simultaneously.

By default in starting point Digital Factories, aPriori assumes that panels travel along the DES conveyor in a single file. Administrators can customize the default with the cost model variable defaultNumberPanelsLoadedDESConveyor (1 in starting point Digital Factories), which specifies the number of panels arranged next to each other across the width of the conveyor.

With the setup option Number of Panels Loaded to the DES Conveyor Simultaneously (defined by the DES node of the Process Options Editor), users can override the default on a per-part basis.

Users must specify a value that is no greater than the maximum number of panels that can fit across the conveyor of the DES machine with the largest Usable Width, assuming:

This setup option affects machine selection: a machine is feasible only if its Usable Width can accommodate the specified number of panels. This setup option also affects cycle time per part.
