Minimum Hole Diameter for OxyFuel and Waterjet Cutting

By default, the minimum feasible hole diameter for OxyFuel and Waterjet cutting is the kerf width; see Kerf Width for OxyFuel and Waterjet Cutting. The diameter of a SimpleHole is given by the geometric property Diameter. The diameter of a ComplexHole is given by the geometric property MEC Diameter (that is, the diameter of the ‘Maximum Enclosed Circle,’ the largest circle that fits inside the hole).

The following processes provide setup options that allow you to override the default minimum feasible hole diameter:

  • OxyFuel Cut: provides the setup option Minimum Recommended Hole Diameter.

  • Waterjet Cut: provides the setup option Minimum Recommended Hole Diameter.
