Machining Enhancements

This release expands support for carbon emission estimates. It also includes improved operation assignment for chains of parallel surfaces--see Stock Machining Enhancements.

Carbon Estimates for All Standard Machining Operations

aPriori 2024 R1 now provides carbon emissions estimates for all standard machining operations***. These estimates account for the carbon emissions due to the energy required for the machine’s spindle to remove material from the workpiece.

aPriori 2024 R1 now provides carbon emissions estimates for all standard machining operations***. These estimates account for the carbon emissions due to the energy required for the machine’s spindle to remove material from the workpiece. Previously aPriori provided CO2e estimates for many primary machining operations but not for all standard operations and secondary machining processes. In cases where machining operations were included that did not provide carbon estimates, aPriori alerted the user via the Sustainability tab, and indicated the percentage of total process cycle time from operations that neglected carbon estimates.
