Create a File System Connector

This example shows how to create a connector for a File System integration in aP Connect.

Prerequisites

Before you create a File System Connector, obtain the required field names. For more information, see Attribute Field Mappings.

Create a File System Connector

To create a Connector for a File System Integration:

  1. Log in to aP Connect and then, in the aP Connect header bar, click Connectors.

  2. In the Connectors page, click New.

  3. The Create a New Connector dialog opens to the Details settings.

  4. In the Details settings, for:

    1. Name – Enter a name for the connector.

    2. Description – Optionally, enter a description for the connector.

    3. Type – Select File System.

    4. Click Next.

    The Mappings settings open to the Standard Fields tab.

  5. On the Standard Fields tab:

    1. Specify mapping values for these required fields:

      • Part ID
      • CAD File Name
      • aPriori Part Number
    2. Click Save.

The newly created connector appears in the list on the Connectors page.

When you create a connector, properties that are required for an Agent installation are written to the *Connection Info* field. For more information, see Installation Configuration Properties.

To view the properties:

  1. On the Connectors page, scroll or sort to and then select the row that contains the newly created connector and then click Edit.

  2. In the Connection Info field, scroll to examine all the properties.

  3. To close the dialog, click Save.
