Costing Service Settings Overview¶
Costing Service Settings allow you to set default values for required and optional costing inputs that aP Generate uses to cost a component. The settings allow you specify default values for the scenario name and for production and manufacturing inputs. They also include an option for extracting engineering tolerances directly from CAD files.
The Costing Service Settings are applied to the aPrioriCIGenerateUser profile, so they are applied across all workflows regardless of which System Administrator created, edited, or invoked the workflow. Therefore, if you change a Costing Service Setting, the change applies to all workflows.
Note:
Mapping rules and Connector defined aP Connect to PLM Field mappings take precedence over Costing Service Settings. The Costing Service Settings take precedence over Digital Factory defaults. For more information, see Attribute Value Precedence.
The Costing Service Settings are:
- Scenario Name
- Process Group
- Digital Factory
- Material
- Annual Volume
- Production Life
- Batch Size
- Extract Tolerances from CAD File
