PLM Agent Installation Prerequisites

Before you install a PLM Agent, you must complete these prerequisites:

On-premise Windchill

After installation, on-premise Windchill integrations require an additional step: deploying REST customization files to the Windchill server. This step is performed by a Windchill administrator with file access to the Windchill server. For more information, see Install the Windchill Customization.

1. Determine which physical configuration you want to use for your integration. For more information, see PLM Integration Physical Configuration Options and System Access Requirements.

2. Obtain information and credentials for the machines on which you want to install the Agent. For more information, see Installation Configuration Properties.

3. Obtain a ZIP file that contains the aP Connect Agent installer and other files that are required for the installation of an aP Connect Agent from aPriori Customer Support.

4. Create or identify dedicated folders for:

   1. Agent installer files

   2. Agent installation files

5. Create a PLM Connector in aP Connect and map the required attribute fields. For more information, see Create a PLM Connector and Attribute Field Mappings.

6. In the installer folder, open the options.ini properties file and specify values for properties that are required for your PLM integration. For more information, see Installation Configuration Properties and Configure the Installation Properties for a PLM Agent.
