Compatibility

Cost Insight Design, like other aPriori Cloud Solution products, are compatible only with other Cloud products. You cannot, for example, use a Cloud installation of Cost Insight Admin to export data from an On-Premise installation of aPriori Professional and use it with a Cloud version of Cost Insight Report.

Likewise, aPriori On-Premise products are compatible only with other On-Premise products. For example, if you have an On-Premise installation of aPriori Professional, you cannot use it with Cloud versions of Cost Insight Admin or Cost Insight Report.

You can view your current release information in the ‘About’ screen for a specific application, usually found under the Help menu.

You can move data, such as *.aP files or VPE zip files, only from an older deployment to a newer deployment because data is only forward compatible. For example, you can export a set of scenario from a 2020 R1 SP2 deployment and then import that data into a later release, such as 2021 R1 SP1, but not vice versa.
