Support for Autodesk® Inventor™ 2021 and 2022

Import an Inventor™ 2021 or 2022 CAD file to Cost Insight Design.

Autodesk® Inventor™ 2021 and 2022 are certified for use with Cost Insight Design. To import an Inventor™ 2021 CAD file from within Cost Insight Design, click the Import button and then drag and drop or browse to the CAD file from the Import CAD File dialog. To import an Inventor™ 2021 CAD file to Cost Insight Design from Inventor™, install, configure, and confirm the Cost in aPriori Inventor™ Plug-in, open the CAD file to Inventor™, and then, in Inventor™, toolbar, click Cost in aPriori.

Support for NX™ 1980 Series

Import an NX™ 1980 Series CAD file directly to Cost Insight Design.

The NX™ 1980 Series is certified for use with Cost Insight Design. To import an NX™ 1980 Series CAD file directly to Cost Insight Design, click the Import button and then drag and drop or browse to the CAD file from the Import CAD File dialog. To import an NX™ 2021 CAD file directly to Cost Insight Design from NX™, install, configure, and confirm the Cost in aPriori NX™ Plug-in, open the CAD file to NX™, and then, in the NX™, toolbar, click Cost in aPriori.

Note

A separate service is required for a Cost in aPriori NX™ Plug-in installation. An aPriori Services Engagement is required to implement delivery of the service. Support for NX™ 2007 Series

Import an NX™ 1980 Series CAD file directly to Cost Insight Design.

The NX™ 2007 Series is certified for use with Cost Insight Design, but is not supported for MCAD integration via the Cost in aPriori NX™ Plug-in.

To import an NX™ 2007 Series CAD file directly to Cost Insight Design, click the Import button and then drag and drop or browse to the CAD file from the Import CAD File dialog.

De-support of SOLIDWORKS™ 2016

SOLIDWORKS™ 2016 is not certified for Cost Insight Design2022 R1.

SOLIDWORKS™ 2017 and higher versions are officially certified for use with Cost Insight Design2022 R1, but aPriori no longer regularly tests or supports SOLIDWORKS™ 2016. Therefore, although CAD files saved in SOLIDWORKS™ 2016 are expected to work in Cost Insight Design2022 R1, aPriori reserves the right to not investigate or address issues that are apparent only for CAD file from SOLIDWORKS™ 2016 or prior versions.

De-support of Creo® 2

Creo® 2 is not certified for the Cost in aPriori Creo® Cloud Plug-in for Cost Insight Design2022 R1.

Creo® 3 and higher versions are officially certified for use the and CAD files created in saved in Creo® 2 are expected to work in Cost Insight Design2022 R1. However, the Cost in aPriori Creo® Cloud Plug-in does not support Creo® 2.
