Explore¶
Use the Explore view to find your existing Scenarios and Components, create new Scenarios, Comparisons and Projects.
New Scenario, Comparison and Project¶

Select New scenario to import and analyze a part or assembly, see Import CAD Files into aP Design

Search and Filter¶
Find and open your existing Scenarios and Components from the Explore view using the search and filter functions. See Find Components and Scenarios to learn more.
Explore Action Bar¶
Select one or more listed Components in Explore to show the Explore action bar and access the following actions:
View Details¶
The table in the Explore view contains information about your existing Components and Scenarios, the table includes:
| Name | Description: |

| Thumbnail | Image of the part |
| Component Name | The unique name of the imported CAD file; by default, this is the name of the imported CAD file. |
| Scenario Name | Name of the Scenario. By default, the initial Scenario is named Initial. |
| Component Type | Icons indicate if this is a part or an assembly |
| State | Current state of the Scenario. A Not Analyzed icon, , indicates that the scenario has not yet been analyzed. |
| Created At | Date and time that the Scenario was created. Tip: The Recent filter sorts by this field. |
| Created By | Name of the user that created the Scenario. |
| Published | Icons indicate if the Scenario is published or private |
