aP Design Header and Toolbars¶
The aP Design UI is divided into the following distinct regions:
Header Bar¶
The header bar provides top-level aP Design functions.
The table describes the actions associated with the icons in the header bar.

New Scenario, Comparison and Project¶
Select New Scenario to import and analyze a part or assembly (see Import CAD Files into aP Design):
Select New Comparison to compare scenarios (see Compare Scenarios):
Select New Project to create a new project in aP Workspace (see Create a New Project):
Toolbar¶
The aP Design toolbar appears as follows when you select one or more components on the Explore tab:
The aP Design toolbar appears as follows when you are using the Evaluate tab:
Toolbar items and Actions menu options vary depending on which aP Design tab is open and whether a selected scenario is private or public.
The following table identifies and describes the icons in the toolbar.

Evaluate Tab: State Messages¶
The state message on the Evaluate tab toolbar shows the state of the component, scenario, or comparison. For example:

Search and Filter Bar¶

Display Area¶
The contents of the display area depend on whether the Explore, Evaluate, or Comparisons tab is selected.
