Evaluate¶

Use the Evaluate view to work on your Design, analyze different Scenarios, examine their results and track your progress. The following describes the main Evaluate sections in the aP Design UI.

The Design navigation bar appears on the left side of the Evaluate view and displays all Components and their Scenarios within the current Design.

Use the Design navigation to add related Components, quickly switch Scenarios and track progress across the lifecycle of a part.

A Design is a grouping of one or more Components that represent the same piece of work as it evolves, see Key Concepts to learn more

The Design navigation contains the following sections:

Design name: Rename the Design
New Component: Add Components to the Design. See Work with Related Components and Scenarios
Compare: Compare properties across Scenarios
Progress: Track progress across the lifecycle of a part
Components: Browse Components and Scenarios associated with this Design, switch and copy Scenarios

Analysis Controls¶

Mode: Set the analysis mode.
- aPriori Use the aPriori cost model during analysis
- Manual Use your own cost data during analysis, see Provide Costs Manually
Analyze : Click to analyze the scenario. See Analyze Scenarios
Complete: Scenario state information message. Complete indicates a successful analysis, see State Messages for all messages

State Messages¶

The table shows each state message and its description.

Icon	State	Description
	Not Analyzed	Scenario has not been initialized (analyzed for the first time).
	Analysis in Progress	aP Design is analyzing the scenario.
	Processing Edit Action	aP Design is creating an editable private copy of a public scenario.
	Processing Publish Action	aP Design is publishing a private scenario, thereby making it into a public scenario.
	Complete	The analysis results are valid for the specified values for the scenario.
	Incomplete	aP Design cannot analyze the current scenario. For more information, see the Design Guidance tile.
	Unanalyzed Changes	The analysis results are not valid for the specified values for the scenario.
	Failed	The analysis cannot proceed.
