Access Control Model Extension Timing

Each time an export is run, Scenario Export evaluates the aPriori access control model and updates the aP Analytics user_to_scenario table accordingly. Changes to aPriori access control group permissions and user group assignments, are captured in the table only when the scenarios affected by these changes are exported to aP Analytics.  Therefore, changes to access rights for a scenario in aP Analytics are updated only when the scenario is exported from aPriori .

For example, if you export a scenario from aPriori that a user does not have access to, the user also cannot access the scenario in aP Analytics. If you then assign the user to a group that has access to that scenario, the user gains immediate access to the scenario in aPriori but not in aP Analytics. The user does not gain access to the scenario in aP Analytics until the scenario is re-exported and the user_to_scenario table is refreshed.

To keep the aP Analytics access control model up to date, export aPriori scenarios regularly using the All and Delta options.

Access control rights are not time-based. The export service creates a new copy of a scenario each time the scenario is exported. Once a user has access to a scenario in aP Analytics, the user can see every copy of that scenario in the reporting database.
