Defining Users for AC Model Extension

For access control (AC) to work properly, the user definitions in aPriori and aP Analytics must be correctly aligned. In particular, the aPriori Login ID and the aP Analytics User ID fields must match. The access control feature relies on this field alignment to determine the aPriori user-to-scenario access rights during scenario export. Then, during report execution, the aP Analytics system uses the Jasper User ID to determine which scenarios to show in the reporting environment.

Prior to release 2019.2, the aPriori Login ID and the aP Analytics User ID fields could be separate and reporting-only users did not need to be defined as users in the aPriori system. But now, to extend your access control model, you must add aP Analytics report-only users to aPriori . There is a new license type for report-only users that lets you define aP Analytics report-only users in aPriori The license allows you to assign a report-only user to an aPriori access control group, but it does not allow the report-only user to log into aPriori .
