Cost Insight Report 2021 R1 SP2 provides these enhancements.
Basic Cost Avoidance Report¶
New value tracking report for design engineers.
Cost Insight Report now includes the Basic Cost Avoidance report, a new Out-of-Box (OOB) value tracking report for design engineers. This report calculates cost avoidance as the cost difference between a user-specified Initial and Final scenario for each component and aggregates cost avoidance across all costed components and annually.
Spend Analysis Value Tracking Simplified Report¶
New simplified value tracking report for sourcing engineers.
Cost Insight Report now includes the Spend Analysis Value Tracking Simplified report, a new OOB value tracking report with a simplified user setup for sourcing engineers. This report calculates savings as the cost difference between an Initial Quoted Cost and ‘Final Quoted Cost for each component in a sourcing project and aggregates cost savings across the sourcing project and annually.
Admin Activity Table¶
Include aPriori Professional Administrator user activity in Ad Hoc reports.
The Operational Database and Domain now include a new Admin Activity table which records changes that aPriori Professional administrators make to access control groups, deployments, LDAP connections, licenses, passwords, permissions, schemas, system variables, and users. This table can be reported on in the Cost Insight Report Ad Hoc tool by using the 21.1.2 Operational Ad Hoc Domain.
New Columns in User Table¶
Include user log-in security in Ad Hoc reports.
The Operational Database and Domain now includes two new columns that record information about user login security in the User table:
- User Account Locked Timestamp – Records the most recent time that an aPriori Professional user was temporarily locked out of aPriori Professional and Cost Insight Admin. ‘
- User Login Attempts – Records the number of consecutive, unsuccessful login attempts the user has accumulated, a value that resets to zero once the user successfully logs into aPriori Professional or Cost Insight Admin. The enhanced User table can be reported on in the Cost Insight Report Ad Hoc tool by using the 21.1.2 Operational Ad Hoc Domain.
Ability to Report on Failed aPriori Professional and Cost Insight Admin Log-in Attempts¶
Include failed aPriori Professional and Cost Insight Admin log-in attempts in Ad Hoc reports.
Failed log-in attempts into aPriori Professional and Cost Insight Admin can now be reported by the Cost Insight Report Ad Hoc tool by using the Login Activity table from the 21.1.2 Operational Ad Hoc Domain. A login activity entry into the Login Activity table with a null session ID value indicates a failed log-in attempt.
