Ad Hoc Multiple Currency Support

As of aP Analytics 2018 R3, Ad Hoc reports provides new measures that allow report writers to display all scenarios in an Ad Hoc view using a single currency. (Note: the scenario_facts table is shown in this discussion, but process_facts and operation_facts also now have similar currency fields.

  • Costed Currency: Display currency field values using the currency that they were costed in. This was the way the domain worked prior to 2018 R3. The currency code is stored on each fact record and the currency values are stored in the currency that they were costed in. Note: If you use this approach you should create labels in the reports showing the currency code(s).
  • Reporting Database Currency: Display currency field values using the reporting database currency. This is the default behavior as of 2018 R3. The conversion factor (from the currency the scenario was costed in, to the reporting database currency) is stored in each fact record.

  • USD: Display currency field values using US dollars. The conversion factor to USD is also stored on each fact record. Image
