Manage Wire Harness and PCBA Digital Factories

The separately licensed PCBA and Wire Harness Process Groups are implemented as special Digital Factories that must be imported and configured for your users. Please contact Customer Support to obtain components necessary to cost Wire Harnesses and PCBAs (such as Digital Factory, UDAs, and Batch File scripts).

Configuration Process Overview

Typically, configuration steps are performed by System Administrators, Digital Factory Administrators, and aPriori Professional Services.

The basic steps for configuring Wire Harness and/or PCBA Costing include:

• System Administrators: Import or add User Defined Attributes (see Managing user defined attributes).
• Digital Factory Administrators: Import the Wire Harness and/or PCBA Digital Factory. See Import the Wire Harness and PCBA Digital Factory.
• System Administrators or Digital Factory Administrators: Define the Wire Harness and/or PCBA BOM Loader Mappings. See Map BOM Loader Headings.
• aPriori Professional Services: Wire Harness ONLY: Create XML tables for the Transformation Utility.
• System Administrators: Install the Wire Harness and/or PCBA Costing Macro files. See Adding costing macros .
• aPriori Professional Services and/or designated employee(s) at your company: Compile Component Library information. See Compiling Component Library data.
• Digital Factory Admin: Update the Wire Harness and/or PCBA Digital Factory with the Component Library. See Updating the Component Library.
