Cost Model Changes that Do Not Affect Configured Digital Factories

The following changes do not affect costings with Digital Factories that use earlier cost model versions. The changes are available only in the latest cost model version (CMV 340).

  • Design Guidance (impacts only design guidance): aP Pro 2026 R1 and the latest Sheet Metal process model finalize the alignment of existing Sheet Metal advice rules with the Critical, Major, and Minor severity classification system first introduced in the previous release. Updated rule categories include hole-, bend-, and hem-related rules, as well as blank and wall checks. No Unclassified issues will appear when you use the latest Sheet Metal process model.

    In addition, unclear or non-design-related advice has been removed to ensure that Sheet Metal guidance remains actionable, relevant, and design-focused.

  • Sustainability Data (impacts carbon estimates only): This release includes updates to carbon factors for consumables, which are contained in the lookup table processConsumables. See also Sustainability Insights Enhancements in the aP Pro Release Notes.
