New Regions for Morocco and Tunisia

To support the growing industrial hubs in North Africa, the 2024-09 Regional Data Libraries provide data for Morocco and Tunisia.

Both Morocco and Tunisia are experiencing growth in their manufacturing sectors, driven by automotive, electronics, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energy industries. Their strategic locations, particularly in relation to Europe, competitive labor costs, and government incentives are attracting foreign investment.

Morocco is experiencing strong GDP growth of 3.4% for 2023, partly driven by strong performance in export-oriented manufacturing.

Tunisia is experiencing a lower growth rate than its neighbor in Morocco, with GDP growth of around 1.8%.
