Cost Model Changes that Do Not Affect Configured Digital Factories¶

The following changes do not affect costings with Digital Factories that use earlier cost model versions. The changes are available only in the latest cost model version.

Stock Pricing: The 2025-12 RDLs contain updated pricing for Sheet Metal stocks that are 6.00 mm thick or greater. The unit cost (cost per unit mass) for these thicker stock items now is around 24% higher than the cost for thinner gauges of the same material, and it matches the unit cost for plate stocks in the Stock Machining process group
Stock Selection (migrating customized stock selection code to the latest process models): If your Digital Factories contain configured stock selection logic for the Sheet Metal process group, you must make CSL code changes when you upgrade to the latest process model version (CMV 330). See Migrating Customized Stock Selection Code.
Design Guidance Issue Severity (impacts design guidance): Design guidance for Sheet Metal now classifies many manufacturability issues according to severity (Critical, Major, Minor). Some types of issues remain unclassified in this release but will be classified in later releases.
