Cost Model Changes that Do Not Affect Configured Digital Factories¶
The following changes do not affect costings with Digital Factories that use earlier cost model versions. The changes are available only in the latest cost model version.
- defaultPress Machine Overhead (can impact overhead costs): Previously the defaultPress Transfer Die machine (a 40,000kN / 4,000 ton press) was underpriced compared to other high-press-force machines. The Machine Price and Direct Overhead Rate values for this Transfer Die machine were updated to better align with other machines’ prices and overhead rates as well as market data. As a result, cost estimates for parts made on this machine will increase, compared to previous releases.
