This section applies to all sheet metal process groups: Sheet Metal, Sheet Metal - Hydroforming, Sheet Metal - Roll Forming, Sheet Metal - Stretch Forming, Sheet Metal - Transfer Die.
Geometry or Cost Engine Changes that Could Impact Configured Digital Factories¶
The following changes might impact costing, even for Digital Factories that use earlier cost model versions.
- Blank Outlines with Addendum (can impact material utilization and nesting): In rare cases in the previous release, aPriori erroneously included large “spikes” in a blank outline with an addendum. In this release, aPriori has introduced a new algorithm for generating the addendum to address this issue. As a result, for parts affected by the original issue, utilization increases and fully-burdened cost may decrease slightly. In some cases, operation assignment and capital investment may change.
Bug Fixes or Small Improvements to Prior Cost Model Versions¶
The following changes might impact costing for Digital Factories that use earlier cost model versions.
