aP Pro Client and Server Requirements for On-Premise Deployments¶
aPriori On-Premise deployments require the installation of aP Pro on a server machine and client machines.
Client Requirements¶
Software Requirements¶
The On-Premise aP Pro client runs directly on the client hardware and must be installed on a local drive. Some configuration on the local machine is necessary.

Microsoft Windows 10 reached End of Support on October 14. As such, aPriori 2025 R1 SP2 and all future aPriori releases no longer will test or officially support use of Microsoft Windows 10 machines for the on-premise aPriori client. While aPriori is expected to continue to work properly on Windows 10, aPriori reserves the right to decline to investigate any issues that are reproducible only on Windows 10. Hardware Requirements¶
The table below includes the required and recommended hardware requirements for On-Premise deployments of the aP Pro client application. The Required column shows the minimum requirements for running aP Pro on a user workstation or laptop in a test environment, or in a very simple deployment. The Recommended column shows more stringent requirements for running aP Pro in a large or complex production environment, that is, an environment that contains many scenarios, large CAD parts, or many Digital Factories.

See the Notes column. | To run reports against the aP Pro operational database, allEnterprise Platformdatabases must match the vendor and type of the aP Pro operational database that they interact with. For example, if your operational database is MySQL, your reporting database must also be MySQL. MySQL: - *MySQL 8.0 reaches end of life in April 2026. Oracle no longer will provide security patches, bug fixes, or technical support after this date. Server-class OS is required for production environments, and any environment where production-like performance is needed (for example, performance/load testing environments, which should mimic production environments as much as is practicable). Server-class OS is recommended but not required for small deployments and other environments such as development, training, and demo systems. The required disk space depends primarily on the number of scenarios. Other factors include: - Number of users - Overall usage - Number and size of export sets, if aP Analytics is installed and used regularly. - Amount of retained data A separate data drive is recommended to store database backups. The backup strategy should align with your organization's policies and requirements. While we cannot provide specific recommendations due to the variability of each environment, we strongly advise implementing a regular backup schedule to minimize the risk of data loss. |
