Cost Model Changes that Do Not Affect Configured Digital Factories

The following changes do not affect costings with Digital Factories that use earlier cost model versions. The changes are available only in the latest cost model version.

  • Unique Hole Diameters (impacts design guidance): Design guidance for Sheet Metal now flags unique hole diameters issues only for processes that require additional tooling for additional hole diameters. In this release, only the following processes continue to provide design guidance when there are multiple distinct hole diameters:

    • Generic Press
    • Laser Punch (Perforating and Punching operations)
    • Plasma Punch (Perforating and Punching operations)
    • Progressive Die
    • Std Press
    • Tandem Press
    • Turret Press

  • Unique Bend Radii (impacts design guidance): Design guidance for Sheet Metal now flags unique bend radii issues only for processes that require additional tooling for additional bend radii. aPriori now generates this guidance only for the following processes:

    • Bend Brake
    • 2 Roll Bending
    • 3 Roll Bending
    • 4 Roll Bending
