Material Modes

In the Production Info section of the User Inputs spreadsheet, the Material Mode column accepts the following values:

  • Digital Factory Default: The default material for the process group in the Digital Factory.
  • MCAD: The material specified in the CAD file.
  • Manual: The material selected by the user in the Material column (adjacent to the Material Mode column).

If the Material Mode is MCAD for an existing scenario in the database and the user selects a material in the Material column with the processing state set to update, aPriori proceeds as follows:

  • If the user-specified material exists in the Digital Factory, aPriori uses the selected material.
  • If the user-specified material does not exist in the Digital Factory, aPriori uses the MCAD material.
  • If the MCAD material does not exist in the Digital Factory, aPriori uses the default material for the process group in the Digital Factory.
