Cost Model Changes that Do Not Affect Configured Digital Factories

The following changes do not affect costings with Digital Factories that use earlier cost model versions. The changes are available only in the latest cost model version.

  • Conveyor Shot Blast Machine Overhead (can affect Direct Overhead Cost): In previous releases, the Conveyor Shot Blast process double counted the cost for labor by inappropriately including it in machine overhead. This release corrects the problem by changing the machine property Overhead Multiplier from 1 to 0 where appropriate.

    As a result, Direct Overhead Cost decreased by around 25% in a sample of affected parts, and Fully Burdened Cost decreased by around 2.5%, compared to the previous release.
